Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers – Crisis

Sunday Jazz Continues as I reminisce on past episodes / check my files and archives!

I remember riding I-20 here in Atlanta listening to 88.5 WRAS The Georgia State University radio station on a Sunday morning; back in the day? they were all the way live!!

They usually had a jazz program going on Sunday morning, these days they have NPR programming!!

I was rolling through, next thing you know they played some Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers and a track called Crisis;  this tune stayed in my head for while, these cats were jamming!!

After doing a little research / doing the knowledge I liked the way this one is flowing so I posted it up.

Checked the  archives, saw that the link was broken so were re-posting it. check the players and the track, it’s perfect for this Sunday night while were chilling / posted up!

Putting Work In / Paying The Price: But It’s Business As Usual (Part Ten)

On this Terrible / Terrific Tuesday where things can go either way? we’re still putting work in / paying the price..

…aka paying dues, but it’s business as usual it’s not breaking news like supposedly heard on cable news; the only way it’s similar to it is that “it ain’t nothing nice”.

Still out here paying the price? oh yes! I was even found putting work in out there at the edge of the abyss.

Lights were blinking on the instrument panel!! the mothership was about to fall in, but the cloakroom has a secret device.

Invisibility! oh yes we had to deploy the cloak of invisibility! soon a large cloud appeared.

With smoke / dust; integrating with the ongoing smoke and mirrors, did we go into another realm? oh yes! we soon disappeared.
