DJ Graymo – Phoebe’s Theme

Digital Crate Digging Continues as we come through with this Terrible  / Terrific Tuesday edition.

We call it this because things can go either way but we claim the terrific outcome; this is how we’re living!

Down for the cause but its rough out here I’m relying on my training from out here at the Institute For Breakbeat Scientific Studies.

This is how we do for those acting like they knew as we broadcast live and direct from our remote outpost out off of I-20 in Atlanta, Brotha O was out there dipping through the Freddie Hubbard Georgia Red Clay earlier, my Chuck Taylor’s it muddied.

Back in the lab I huddled collecting scattered thoughts after reality scattered my dreams.

Sonic rehab takes place now I’m back on the case, this sonic assault will scatter these ill teams!

Everything is not what it seems! they were bamboozled / hoodwinked some lacked supreme courage / maximum strength as they stared into the eye of the tiger and blinked but we’re linked to the keepers of the funk, Délicieuse Musique  as they drop this track by DJ Graymo called Phoebe’s Theme can you dig it?

Check it out! this is housemusic with a jazzy twist! that Afternoon Jazz vibe from earlier we revisit in conjunction with the O-Dog Day Party! can you dig it?

Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers – Crisis

Sunday Jazz Continues as I reminisce on past episodes / check my files and archives!

I remember riding I-20 here in Atlanta listening to 88.5 WRAS The Georgia State University radio station on a Sunday morning; back in the day? they were all the way live!!

They usually had a jazz program going on Sunday morning, these days they have NPR programming!!

I was rolling through, next thing you know they played some Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers and a track called Crisis;  this tune stayed in my head for while, these cats were jamming!!

After doing a little research / doing the knowledge I liked the way this one is flowing so I posted it up.

Checked the  archives, saw that the link was broken so were re-posting it. check the players and the track, it’s perfect for this Sunday night while were chilling / posted up!

Putting Work In / Paying The Price: But It’s Business As Usual (Part Ten)

On this Terrible / Terrific Tuesday where things can go either way? we’re still putting work in / paying the price..

…aka paying dues, but it’s business as usual it’s not breaking news like supposedly heard on cable news; the only way it’s similar to it is that “it ain’t nothing nice”.

Still out here paying the price? oh yes! I was even found putting work in out there at the edge of the abyss.

Lights were blinking on the instrument panel!! the mothership was about to fall in, but the cloakroom has a secret device.

Invisibility! oh yes we had to deploy the cloak of invisibility! soon a large cloud appeared.

With smoke / dust; integrating with the ongoing smoke and mirrors, did we go into another realm? oh yes! we soon disappeared.

“My Groove, Your Move” by Hank Mobley

Sunday Jazz Continues on conjunction with Digital Crate Digging Continues; some real crate digging is going down!

Digging through stacks of vinyl and cassettes, relaxation the sound begets; it’s going down!

O-Zone will holla back with this good word that upsets the thought and fashion police; they’ll try to shadow ban.

Sanctions like Russia per their invasion of Ukraine? from over there to here in Atlanta my people feel the pain!

Maintaining with this sound, check this out, we  had to the blow the dust off this one!!

We’re checking out  “My Groove, Your Move” by Hank Mobley; the players rolling with him?
